New luxury wellness Spa to open in July as part of the Holiday Inn Winchester’s £2.5 million refurbishment project
The Holiday Inn Winchester has been working closely with the spa and wellness expertise of leading spa designers SPA Creators to design and develop a luxury spa and leisure facility within the four star hotel.
The new ANA SPA and Wellness will be part of the hotel’s £2.5 million refurbishment project, which also includes their recently opened Odyssey Restaurant, Bar and Pizzeria plus a new Open Lobby on their upper ground floor.
The ANA SPA and Wellness will be located on the lower ground floor and will open in July 2019 and will include a private screened outdoor terrace, five luxurious treatment rooms offering peaceful spaces for visitors to be pampered plus Gym, Studio, Sauna, Steam Room and a Vitality Pool. The ANA Spa will also be offering memberships to local residents and welcoming spa break and spa day guests.
The Holiday Inn Winchester’s General Manager Marc Solarz commented: ‘We are all extremely excited about the new ANA SPA which will totally transform the large and spacious lower ground area into a tranquil retreat for hotel residents and visitors. We are so impressed with the proposed interior design of the Spa and the wide range of facilities and treatments that will be available.’
Sarah Waddington, the Holiday Inn’s Director of Sales and Marketing commented: ‘The new Spa will take our hotel to another level that will attract a far wider range of visitors, from those who just want to escape for a few hours or a day of relaxation - to visitors from further afield who want a few days of peace and pampering.’
The facility will boast a state-of-the-art gym equipped by world leading Matrix Fitness. A multi-use studio will offer a range of instructor lead classes and virtual classes by Les Mills. The leisure facility will be open to an exclusive local membership, plus hotel and day spa guests, who will be able to develop their exercise program with the spa’s expert personal trainer who will tailor a regime for each member.
The ANA Spa will have a thermal wet spa facility including Himalayan Salt Sauna, Crystal Essence Steam Room, Experience Sensory Shower and Kneipp Foot Spa. The relaxing Vitality Pool has various Thalasso massage stations to help boost circulation and ease muscle tension creating an overall wellness experience. The Thermal suite also has access to an outdoor terrace.
Within the treatment suite there are 5 treatment rooms including one VIP double, a Rasul mud treatment room, a Glamour Eyes zone for manicures, pedicures and make up, deep relaxation lounge and a spa lounge for guests to enjoy a selection of healthy meals and refreshments. The spa has chosen the leading skincare range from ELEMIS, ritual treatments from Lava Shell, Jessica for nails and Mii makeup.

The hotel has also recently appointed Chelsea Smith as the new manager for the ANA SPA. Chelsea comes to the ANA SPA with nine years of experience managing spa and health clubs, specialising in beauty therapies and helping to motivate those who want to improve their fitness.
