Veterans asked to join together to mark Remembrance Day at Living Well Centre

The Veterans regular Monday morning drop-in session at Rowans Living Well Centre will be observing the two minute silence Act of Remembrance on Monday 11 November.

“We would like to welcome all veterans to come and join those who regularly attend our drop-in session on Monday 11th to help mark this Day of Remembrance.

Time will be given before and after, Rowans Spiritual Chaplain leads the Act of Remembrance, for veterans to enjoy each other’s comradeship on such a poignant day,” stated Tina Millard, Veterans Nurse Specialist.

Visitors attending the session will also be able to view the very special Remembrance Day display that has been provided by Andrew Whitmarsh of The D-Day Story, Portsmouth and by Lorraine Ellis who has kindly donated the RAF uniform of Denis Langford, which sits alongside his extremely intriguing story.

The Veterans drop in session starts at 10.00am every Monday and is held in the café in the Living Well Centre, Purbrook.
