In 2019, record numbers of people signed up to go vegan for the month, with over 250,000 people taking part and pledging to drop all meat and dairy products from their diet.

Yvonne Clay, Senior Marketing Manager at Gunwharf Quays, said: “The new Spinnaker Quarter provides a fantastic new space for guests to enjoy, offering an eclectic range of food in a unique location. Vietnamese street food restaurant, Pho, has launched a brand-new vegan menu which includes 12 new dishes for January, taking its total vegan offering to 40% of the total menu. Working with award-winning plant-based innovators, THIS™, they have created an amazing meat-free product that smells, feels and tastes just like chicken. The new menu includes THIS™ isn’t Chicken salad, prawn-less crackers as well as their famous aromatic phở

For a chance to sample award-winning vegan fish and chips, head to Cosy Club; winners of Best Vegan Fish and Chips at the 2019 PETA Awards. The restaurant’s hugely popular Beyond Meat burger also features, sitting alongside the delicious Roast Turmeric Cauliflower, spiced with dukkah and tahini cauliflower puree.

Cornwall-based eatery, HUBBOX will be offering customers a unique vegan-take on their vibrant street food menu. Their new vegan menu launched on 2nd January and offers a vegan alternative for each of the 14 burgers and three hot dogs. Highlights include the Seitan Shawarma; cumin and coriander marinated seitan, tabbouleh, tomato and coriander salsa, babaganoush, vegan mayo, saffron pickled white cabbage, shredded lettuce, tahini dressing and hot chilli sauce.

Yvonne continued: “With such diverse and exciting menus, our Spinnaker Quarter offers something for everyone. From wholesome breakfasts to fabulous deserts, from cocktails and mocktails to plant based vegan main courses, and from local beers to enormous burgers and loaded fries…. All the restaurants in the Spinnaker Quarter offer an exciting and interesting dining experience.”
