Rowans Hospice Charity - Make-A-Will fortnight

Posted: 2nd September 2021

Writing your Will is one of the most important things you can do. It is the only way to

ensure the people and causes you care about inherit the property, money and

possessions you want them to.

“Even if you already have a Will, it is essential to keep it up-to-date, especially after life-

changing events such as getting married/divorced, a bereavement, or moving house,

says Julian Thomas from Rowans Hospice Charity”.

Between Monday, 06 and Friday, 17 September, local Solicitors will

waive their usual Will Writing fees in return for a donation to Rowans Hospice Charity.

Suggested donations, which reflect the time given by the Solicitors are: £200 for a

Single Will, £300 for a Joint/Mirror Will or £75 for a Codicil/Update.

Rowans Hospice Charity is renowned for high quality palliative and specialist end of life care, with its role essential in supporting the NHS.  As the Charity’s reliance on voluntary donations remains critical, it is calling upon the local community for help to raise vital and much-needed funds. All funds raised through Make-A-Will fortnight will be supporting the future of Hospice care, not only for patients with life-limiting illnesses, but for their families and carers too. From the moment of diagnosis through to bereavement support, all care is given without charge.

Concluding, Julian said, “If you have ever had any contact with Rowans Hospice, you will appreciate just how important the Charity is to the local community. But even if you haven’t been in contact before, please consider writing your Will today to support local Hospice care. We cannot thank our local Solicitors and supporters enough.

Please visit our website rowanshospice.co.uk/events/wills/ to find a local solicitor who is supporting Rowans Hospice Charity to make your appointment today.
