The Nostalgia Show 2022

Posted: 27th April 2022

Hampshire’s Stansted House steps back in time with The Nostalgia Show!

Take a walk down memory lane this 17, 18 19 June 2022 for an alternative, tongue-in-cheek fun weekend.

The Nostalgia Show is returning to the Hampshire stately home to celebrate six decades of British cool for its fourth year running. It’s a retro mix of big bands, classic cars, dancing, and feel-good family festival vibes – so dust off your finest vintage attire and grab your dance partner. It promises to be one heck of a weekend!

From Friday – to Sunday, The Nostalgia Show will transform the county estate into a celebration of nostalgia. Each day showcases a different era of classic cars and boasts a swell entertainment line-up, highlights to include Amy Baker & the Swing Beats on Friday night to follow with a guilty pleasure disco. Other musicians throughout the weekend include old-school funk from Southsea Groove Collective, fantastic jump jive, swing band Ding Dong Daddios and the alternative brass performance for Tuba Libra.

There will be stalls for perusal, eccentric sports field activities, 80's keep fit class, a dog show, and kitsch bingo(!), and a variety of hand-picked street food vendors to keep the energy up and a themed bar. Don’t forget the deckchairs for that sit-down. Kids won’t be short of fun with old school activities, and neither will those competitive dads on Father's day, as there will be games from their childhood to participate in

If you'd like to escape normality, jump into their nostalgic bubble. Stay for the whole weekend in the stunning surroundings. Where else would you have views of the South downs and sleep next to a Stately Home?

The show’s organiser and founder, Alex, said, ‘We wanted to make sure this year’s event provides vibrancy and fun but with even more of a bang! We’ve pulled together the best group of performers to bring that vintage feel to life.’

‘We love the energy of the music, the vibrancy of the clothes and memorabilia; we wanted to share our passion with like-minded friends for a whole weekend of fun.

Our vision is to create an event that allows all ages to come together to appreciate the charm of days gone by, music, cars, clothes, and good food. It's all part of our social history.''

All the fun of The Nostalgia Show starts on Friday 17 June at 6 pm, and the curtain falls on Sunday 19 June at 6 pm. Parking is free at the venue.
